The 2008 Undergraduate Business Students Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility is jointly organised by Sunway University College, the Sunway Group, CPA Australia and KPMG. The theme of the conference is ‘Business with a Heart’. The main objective of the conference is to create a greater sense of awareness and appreciation of the social and environmental responsibilities of business enterprises among undergraduate business students so that they may be sensitive to the needs of society and the environment when they become business leaders in the future. The conference will expose students to the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of corporations such as the Body Shop, HSBC, Digi, KPMG and the Sunway Group. Non-governmental organisations such as WWF Malaysia, Malaysian Nature Society, Environmental Protection Society of Malaysia and Yayasan Salam will share their expectations of CSR activities and how they are working with corporations to improve society and the environment. The organisers would like to invite undergraduate business students from local private and public universities as well as other interested individuals to attend this very interesting and informative conference. The registration fee for the conference is RM10 and all proceeds will be donated to charity.
