    The AV corner is equipped with the necessary audio visual equipment to facilitate group viewing of library materials which consists of feature films, teaching and learning resources as well as TV channels. Wireless headphones are available for loan from the counter to avoid disturbing others.

     

  • Computing Facilities Open or Close

    COMPUTER WORKSTATIONS

    There are over 20 computer stations in the Library & Learning Commons (including 2 terminals which are installed with latest image editing software). Only Students & Staff with valid IDs are allowed access to these stations. Users are required to log in using their network ID & password. All stations are installed with common campus software, making it easy for users to transfer their work to the Learning Commons.

    PRINTING / SCANNING / PHOTOCOPYING

    All computer workstations at the Learning Commons are connected to networked printers. Students are required to purchase printing coupons at the financial services counter to access the printing facilities which also include colour printing.

  • Wireless Access and BYOD Priority Zone Open or Close

    Wireless connectivity is available throughout the Library and Learning Commons. To facilitate the users, BYOD Priority Zone is installed with electrical power outlets.

  • Learning Commons Open or Close

    The Learning Commons is a dynamic learning environment where students can enjoy regular library services as well as the use of resources and technology for group discussion and project work. It is an "Active Floor" within the library. The place is furnished with appropriate and comfortable furniture so that students can hold discussions in big or small groups. It also provides computer stations, project rooms, magazine lounge & audiovisual (AV) facilities.

  • Lockers Open or Close

    The Library and Learning Commons provide users with locker facilities. These are located at the entrance of the Library. Three categories of locker usage are offered. They are:

    Open lockers, for students to place their bags, umbrellas or materials which are not allowed into the Library and Learning Commons.
    Day lockers with key, solely for the convenience of students during Library and Leaning Commons operation hours.

  • Project Rooms Open or Close

    The project rooms are situated at the Learning Commons and are meant for small group project work (4 to 10 persons per room). They are available for a usage period of 2 hours at a time and are equipped with IT facilities such as personal computer and smartboard.
