It was an evening full of excitement when guests thronged the
ballroom in stylish outfits and glamourous masks for the much
awaited party of the year - Masquerade Ball. With their masks
adorned with feathers and glittery accessories, the guests waltzed
into the ballroom at Grand Straits Garden Seafood Restaurant for
Sunway College Johor Bahru’s annual ball.

The
emcees, Ashvini and Kharis awed the crowd as soon as they appeared
on stage with their stunning outfits and melodious voices to welcome
the guests. After the opening speech by the College’s principal Mrs
Hor Poh Choo, the guests, comprising of VIPs, staff and students
were treated to a scrumptious dinner.

The evening’s
performances kicked off with a duet by Cindy and Tiffany followed by
a Waltz dance presented by the Dance Club of the College and the
first part of the lucky draw. A mobile phone, a digital camera, an
oven and cash vouchers were among the many attractive prizes won by
the lucky guests.

The show continued with a solo
number by Kenneth and another duet by Racheal and Joan. Shortly
after, the finalists for the Best Mask Competition were announced.
These finalists, comprising of students and staff, exhibited their
masks by performing a catwalk on stage as the crowd cheered and
clapped. Next was the second round of lucky draw which saw lucky
students and staff walked excitedly to the stage to claim their
prizes. The show ended with a duet of Black and White by Joan and
Krithika, accompanied by a troupe of dancers from the Dance Club
before the guests energised the night with their hip dance moves.
