Successful Diploma in Business Administration graduates in Sunway College Johor Bahru (SYCJB) can now pursue a Bachelor in Business Administration degree awarded by the University of South Florida in the United States (US) with advanced standing via the Center for American Education (CAE) in Singapore. This degree pathway was formed when SYCJB and CAE signed a Memorandum of Understanding in December 2010. This collaboration gives the opportunity to SYCJB graduates to complete the degree entirely in Singapore. “Our diploma in business administration graduates can now earn an American business degree via CAE within two years, resulting in tremendous cost savings, compared to actually going to the States,” said SYCJB Director of Academics and Head of Degree Programmes, Ong Mei Mei. CAE was established in 1997 with the mission to provide regional business administration graduates the opportunity to obtain an American qualification in Singapore through its partnerships with leading universities and colleges. “The degree, with concentrations in marketing and international business, is the same degree students earn at the university’s Tampa campus,” said Ethan Moore, CAE Assistant Director of Marketing for the University of South Florida Singapore programme. Founded in 1956, the University of South Florida is the eighth largest university in the US and the youngest ever to reach this size in 50 years. Accredited by the Commission on College of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the university currently has 41,000 students on campus, comprises of both local and international students from all 50 states of the US and over 115 countries. With the University of South Florida as another choice, SYCJB Diploma in Business Administration graduates have before them a few global education pathways offering advanced standing into relevant business degrees, from Victoria University and Deakin University in Australia, University of Waikato in New Zealand, to University of Leeds in the UK and Sunway University in Malaysia.
